Offense gained 1174 yards passing and averaged 10.6 yards per completion.
“Sam was the Quarterback of our line for two years. His tremendous intelligence and knowledge of the game always got us into the proper blocking scheme up front. He was a dominating blocker who rarely missed an assignment and could always be counted upon to get his job done.”
-OHS coach Jeff Williams
Isaac Rocha WR 6-1 165 SR

29 receptions for 396 yards and 2 TDs receiving. Averaged 29.4 yards per punt. 9 KO returns for 135 yards, 15 yard average per return. 11 Punt returns for 85 yards, 7.7 yards per return. 3rd on the team in Defensive Points. 38 tackles, 1 fumble forced, 9 pass break-ups, 1 interception, and 5 stars.
“Isaac is a great all-around athlete and rarely left the field. He could just help us in so many different ways. He was a deep threat as a receiver, but also could be relied upon to make underneath catches in heavy traffic. With his experience as a starter last season, he was a solid and calming influence in the secondary and often found himself on the other team’s best receiver.”
Matt Kingland OLB 6-1 185 SR
5th on the team in Defensive Points. 26 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, 2 fumbles forced, 1 pass deflect, and led the team in sacks with 9. 14 stars. New team records for fumbles forced in a game (2 vs. Winona), sacks in a game (5 vs. Winona), and stars in a game (7 vs. Winona). 6 receptions for 53 yards at TE.
“Matt is a great leader and was a positive influence whenever he was on the field. He was a fine possession receiver at TE and made a lot of big plays at Outside Linebacker. His 5 sacks versus Winona broke a 20 year old record and played a pivotal role in helping us win the game. He just had a knack for making impact plays at critical times.”
Alec Holcomb LB 6-1 205 JR
Led team in Defensive Points with 154.5. 81 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 fumble forced, 3 pass break-ups, 3 interceptions, 1 blocked kick, 2.5 sacks and led team with 15 stars. As a fullback, rushed for 362 yards and 4 TD on 76 carries. Also caught 19 passes for 259 yards and 5 TD. Led team in scoring with 58 points.
“Alec was always around the ball making plays. He had a superb junior year, both offensively and defensively and was another kid who we couldn’t afford to have off the field very often. His blocked extra point propelled us into an overtime victory against Century in Week 2 and gave us the confidence we could compete with, and beat, good teams moving forward. Alec also provided steady leadership on both sides of the ball.”
ALL CONFERENCE, HONORABLE MENTION
Jake Borchert DB 6-0 160 JR
2nd on the team in defensive points with 100. 35 tackles, 9 pass break-ups, 3 interceptions, and 7 stars. 10 receptions for 122 yards and a TD at WR. 6 punt returns for 31 yards.
“Jake really came into his own as both a defender and a receiver this season. He improved each week and may have been our best cover-guy by the end of the year. He was also a sure tackler and prevented some big plays in the open field. He worked hard to improve this year and it really paid off for him.”
