Owatonna Aces amateur baseball qualified for the state tournament on Saturday. Waseca clinched the top seed from the Region Sunday, beating Owatonna 13-3 in 7 innings.

The Aces rallied from behind with a 5-run 8th inning to beat Wanimingo 5-2 on Saturday at Dartt's Park to make the state tournament! Waseca and Owatonna both will go to state from the region.

Colton Schock, Tyler Smith and Travis Hilstad had the big hits in the 8th inning to rescue the Aces season. Brandon Wolf threw 8 innings. Derek Eddie came on in the 9th to get the save.

The Aces open state tournament play Saturday August 16 in Jordan, against New Munich at 7:30pm. The Braves do not play until Saturday August 23.
