Body Found Near I-94 in Twin Cities Was A Faribault Man
The body of a man found along Interstate 94 near downtown Minneapolis over the weekend has been identified by his wife as the chief of anesthesiology at the Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the Associated Press and Minneapolis Star Tribune. He was originally from Faribault.
Dr. Christopher Robert, 50, was apparently walking home from a workplace party. According to his wife, Dr. Kerry Ace, it was about a half-mile walk to their condo from where he was. His body was found near I-94 close to downtown Minneapolis early Saturday morning. Ace, who works for Children's Hospital in St. Paul, said her husband's death was a "tragic end to an amazing man."
The two met in Florida while they were in med school. They have two children, ages 18 and 11.
According to Parker-Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, services will be Saturday at 1PM at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. Visitation will be Friday evening at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home and at the church Saturday one hour before services.
The Hennepin County medical examiner is still investigating the cause and manner of Robert's death.
