Jeff Wagner and the Buccaneers came into Van Orsow auditorium at Bethlehem Academy, knowing that it was probably going to be a good, hard-fought game. They knew they were going to be without Logan Sendle, as he was out with mono, and Zac Olson was finally making his season debut. Dallas McBroom came through for Waterville, especially in the second half and helped lead the team to a 49-44 win.

BA came out and got a 23-22 lead in the second half but then McBroom dropped in 10 straight points and the Bucs had a good lead. BA got the lead back with about 5 minutes left, but a lack of scoring by the Cardinals in the final minutes and free throws by the Bucs and led them to the win.

Scoring for the Buccaneers: McBroom, 20; Olson, 14; Hiller, 8; Ranslow, 5; Polzin, 2.

Scoring for the Cardinals: Bongers, 11; Clark, 10; Dienst, 9; Hunt, 7; D. Trump, 5; B. Trump, 2.

Alex Bongers and Hunter Dienst were our State Farm Insurance Agents of Faribault players of the game. The Buccaneers (3-0) face Maple River on Thursday night in Waterville. BA (1-3) travels to Blooming Prairie on Thursday.
