The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is accepting applications for shooting range grants. The DNR has a total of $100.000 available for grants to improve existing five-stand, pistol, rifle, skeet or trap ranges.

The grants require a 1:1 match and are available to shooting clubs that allow members of the public to shoot at reasonable times and for reasonable fees. Applicants must provide current female participation date and show an intent to improve future diversity opportunities. These grants are for up to $25,000.

The funds come from a $2 million appropriation the state legislature made in 2015 to help recreational shooting clubs develop or improve shooting sports facilities for public use.

Applications received after the deadline of December 28 will still be considered but project that meet the deadline will be considered first.
