Southern Minnesota Fights Cancer

There are a few fundraising events coming up as Southern Minnesota fights back against cancer. It's the 33rd annual Geneva Cancer Auction coming up the weekends of January 13 and 14 and January 20 and 21. The Friday night sessions at the Geneva Bar and Grill start at 7PM and the Saturday auctions begin at 2PM.

The Blooming Prairie Cancer Group is doing their part as well. They're hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday, January 15, at the Pizza Cellar. Serving hours will be 8:30AM to 12:30PM. The menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, orange juice, milk or coffee. The cost is a donation. There will also be a silent auction. Kids are invited to bring their coins for cancer. Just drop them in the Fish Bowl for the Eagles Cancer Telethon.

Looking ahead to February, the Steele County Relay for Life will be hosting a Craft Show on Saturday, February 18, at the Owatonna Eagles Club from 9AM to 2PM. Attendees will also have the chance to sign up for a relay team and purchase luminaries.
