The weather has put a damper or delay on a number of events so far this summer. This includes highway repair in Steele County. Here's an update with projected dates for CSAH 7 and 45.

Ulland Bros. Inc., the prime contractor for the projects, plans to pave bituminous shoulders on CSAH 45 this Saturday.

The week of August 29 will find a crew working on shouldering around driveways and intersections on both CSAH 7 and 45.

The following week beginning September 6, plans include bituminous driveways and intersections, shouldering and striping.

If the weather cooperates, an anticipated opening is planned for September 12.

The rainfall this spring has not only delayed projects but also caused a domino effect. If project A is rain delayed, that in turn causes a delay in project B and so on.

Those who do need to travel down these roads to attend to business or get to their homes are still advised to be on the alert for work crews and drive with caution.
