A Webster woman died on Tuesday after her vehicle collided with a truck in Webster Township.

Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn said authorities responded to the crash at the intersection of Rice County Road 46 (Hazelton Avenue) and 30th Street West, east of I-35.

Marsheila Theisen, 59, of Northfield, was killed when her Honda Ridgeline pickup was struck by a Mack tandem dump truck trailer, driven by Mark Schroer, 58, of Le Center. He was eastbound on 30th Street West, and failed to stop at the Hazelwood Avenue stop sign and collided with Theisen's pickup. Both vehicles went into the ditch. Schroer was treated for minor injuries.

Minnesota State Patrol investigators did a reconstruction of the accident. The Minnesota State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Division also assisted at the scene. Traffic was detoured for about six hours while the crash was being investigated. Rice and Scott County Highway departments assisted with detouring around the crash scene. When the investigation is concluded, the report will be sent to the Rice County Attorney's office for possible charges.

Deputies from Rice, Scott and Dakota counties along with Elko-New Market Fire and Rescue and Northfield Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Over the weekend a 17-year-old area girl and 67-year-old David Williams of Owatonna were injured when their vehicles collided on Hoffman Drive near the I-35 exit in Owatonna.
