No matter what state you live in, meeting people is hard. I've lived in quite a few states, but Minnesota has been the hardest to not only make friends but also finding the right person to date. I'm not sure why it is so hard here because there are lot of folks living here and they all claim to be "Minnesota Nice."

HomeSnacks looked at Minnesota and determined the best cities for singles to date in. This article says their findings are based on minimal facts and mostly opinion. So here you go! These are the best cities to live in if you are single and ready to mingle.

  1. Minneapolis
  2. Mankato
  3. Duluth
  4. Winona
  5. Roseville
  6. Burnsville
  7. Rochester
  8. Austin
  9. Moorhead
  10. Bloomington

The article determined this ranking by looking at these four factors.

  1. Population Density
  2. Number of Singles
  3. Number of People with Kids
  4. Number of places to meet people (Churches, bars, restaurants and coffee shops)

Those are good biases to determine the possibility of meeting someone, but they have nothing to do with the dating scene. I guess if you are swiping on Bumble or Tinder, the more options you have, the more likely you are to find someone. So yes... there are a lot of options in these areas, but are they good options? That's the real question.

This same article determined the worst places to date in Minnesota and those were...

  1. Ramsey
  2. Cottage Grove
  3. Andover
  4. Blaire
  5. Rosemount

Is anyone else shocked that Albert Lea didn't make the list because they are one of the worst places to live in Minnesota? It's kind of fun to look at this list. I know a lot of folks complain about dating in Rochester. It's very hard to meet people here especially if you aren't open to using dating apps. I have a friend in Duluth that loves the dating scene. She even met her serious boyfriend up there last year. So I guess this list is kind of true. Let us know if you agree with these findings inside our station app.
