
21-year-old Byron Woman Killed in Crash Near Mankato

Eagle Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - A young woman from Byron was killed Friday afternoon in a crash near Mankato.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 21-year-old Carly Sweet was crossing Highway 14 at the junction with Blue Earth County Road 56 at Eagle Lake when her car collided with a pickup truck that was traveling east on the highway. She was pronounced dead shortly after authorities responded to the scene around 3 PM.
The driver of the pickup, a 49-year-old Blue Earth man, was not injured.
