The weather could not have more perfect over the weekend in Minnesota. And, sure, you can look at the fall colors. But there's nothing more 'Minnesota' than holding a football-watching tailgate party in the parking lot of a hockey rink. An enthusiastic group of Vikings jersey wearing fans took in the game before heading inside to see a Steele County Blades junior hockey game on Sunday afternoon in Owatonna.

The Blades lost in a shootout Sunday versus the Minnesota Moose after beating the Hudson Havoc in a shootout the night before. Steele County hosts games Friday, October 22 at 7 pm, Saturday, October 23 at 2 pm, and Sunday, October 24 at 3 pm for your MEA Weekend entertainment plans.

Granted this photo is from the recent Owatonna homecoming parade, but I saw quite a few people tooling around in convertibles over the weekend.

Not meant in a mean way, venturing off into the woods is a great way to spend a nice fall day, whether walking or jogging.

5. SOCCER TOURNAMENT

I drove by a schoolyard filled with soccer teams on Sunday. Considering it's mid October, the tournament was just as likely to be held in flurries as the dazzling day that was enjoyed by the participants.

College football fans enjoyed games aplenty on Saturday, including a Gophers' win over Nebraska.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
