If you're familiar with the 'Friday the 13th' film franchise, then you know Jason Voorhees lives at Crystal Lake. One Minnesotan decided to put a Jason statue at the bottom of the lake to scare divers.

The filming of the first movie took place in New Jersey and you can now tour the camp. The actual camp is called Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in Hardwick, NJ. What's even cooler than that is knowing there is a Jason in Minnesota.

Coincidentally, I had a run in with Jason a few years ago at a 'I Love The 90's Party':

There is a Crystal Lake in Burnsville, MN, but an unsuspecting diver will find this menacing charter at a popular diving spot in Crosby, MN.  I was hoping it was just Jason trying to purify himself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka. The statue was first placed in the lake in 2013 by Curtis Lahr (as seen in the video above), still scary, but check out what it looks like now below:

'Friday the 13th' fans will recognize this scene from the end of 'Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives' where Jason became trapped and chained at the bottom of the lake. I absolutely loved that a Minnesotan did this and even though Jason isn't real, stumbling upon this would definitely scare the crap out of me.

In case you're curious, Jason is still trying to purify himself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka. I think the scariest think is needing a flashlight to see in these dark waters. Check out the latest video of Minnesota Jason below:

Here is what the tour in New Jersey has to offer:
