Luke Tupy of New Prague, Mn. and Ethan Lanthier of Northfield, Mn. members of the St. Cloud State University Huskies have been named to the All-NSIC Baseball First team.

Tupy was also named the Freshman of the Year in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.  The left-handed medical redshirt freshman is 6-0 as a starting pitcher with a 1.43 Earned Run Average (ERA) in 8 starts

The 6'5, 195 pound Tupy has two complete games.  Back to back no-hitters on April 21 and April 29 against Northern State and Minnesota State Crookston.

Against Northern State Tupy did not walk anyone and struck out 15 while throwing a perfect game.

Against Minnesota State Crookston Tupy walked a batter and struck out 13.

April 15 he threw a one-hitter in 5 innings against Southwest Minnesota State with a walk and 6 fanned batters.

In 44 innings pitched the former New Prague Trojan has allowed 24 hits, 7 runs, all earned, 10 walks, 74 strikeouts.  He has allowed 7 extra base hits, just one home run.

Opponents are hitting .156 against Tupy this season.

St. Cloud State opened NSIC Tournament play in South Dakota Wednesday against University of Sioux Falls.  The Huskies are the #2 seed.

Regular season NSIC Champions Augustana are the top seed in the 8-team double elimination tournament that runs through Saturday.
