It's still officially Fall in Minnesota, but we're going to get a dose of January across southern Minnesota next week.

This week has been a mixed bag of strong winds, snow, sleet, rain, and ice depending exactly where you are. For the most part, here in southern Minnesota, the latest storm has been a rain event -- but that's going to change.

Snow is in the forecast Thursday through Saturday, with anywhere from four to eight inches of accumulation possible.

This will be a typical cold-air outbreak, with several days of lows below zero, and highs near zero to 10 degrees next Monday through Wednesday.

Following this week's storm, arctic air will move into the region, with highs not making it out of the single digits next week, and overnight lows dropping below zero for the first time this season.
