So many brave men and women sacrifice so much to protect our country each and every day. Saying thank you doesn't even show how much many of us appreciate what they do. That is why a lot of places have special treatment for active and retired military members. Especially at the Minnesota St. Paul Airport (MSP).

According to WCCO, the Armed Forces Service Center at MSP was recently remodeled. The new facility opened on Thursday for all active, retired and military families to use. The article says that the center is located in "concourse C," and is free to use by any military or family of military members. When it comes to the funding aspect of the remodel and the operations, many folks were involved and donations were collected.

The article says that this is a place for them to escape the craziness of an airport while having access to some amenities. The facility has bathrooms, showers, places to sleep and snacks. In the center, there are plenty of drinks as well as some food options. So what are the hours of the center? Well... it is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. The reason that it is able to stay open so often, is it is ran by around 108 volunteers.

The goal behind the Armed Forces Service Center is to give those who sacrifice so much a place that feel like home in the airport.
