The parade started at 4:00 pm Sunday in Waukesha and had been underway for about 20 minutes when a live feed on the city’s website captured the moment when the vehicle was seen driving at high speed through the downtown route.

The police department reported an officer fired his gun at the vehicle but it’s not known if the driver was hit. The vehicle eventually stopped and police said “a person of interest” was taken into custody.
