Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Austin man has been sentenced to almost 7 years in prison for his role in the death of another Austin man last summer.

48-year-old Robert Matras appeared before a judge in Steele County on Friday and was given an 81-month prison term. He pleaded guilty to a second-degree manslaughter charge in December through a plea agreement that resulted in the dismissal of a third-degree manslaughter charge.

Matras was accused of supplying the methamphetamine that caused the death of 24-year-old Jesse Frohwein. The criminal complaint says Frohwein was found dead inside his car parked at a convenience store in Owatonna last July.
