Bentleyville was among the many things impacted by the big two-day winter storm that targeted the Northland this week. The tremendous amount of wet, heavy snow and strong winds forced the popular holiday attraction to close on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Because of the size of the mess the storm created and since an overwhelming amount of work done at Bentleyville is by volunteers, there were some wondering just how long they would be forced to close.

Good news arrived Friday when Bentleyville announced they will be open again Friday evening, which will begin what is expected to be a very busy weekend with Christmas fast approaching next weekend. They shared the good news on their Facebook page.

Hello everyone!
We will be open tonight, Friday December 16th, come on down from 5pm-10pm!

While that is indeed good news, the bad news is Bentleyville will soon be closing for the 2022 season. If you have yet to visit, or wish to visit again, you should be aware of the hours of operation for the rest of the season and that a cold snap may make you want to be strategic on when to visit. .

Bentleyville is scheduled to be open through December 26. Their hours of operation are 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

As for Christmas weekend, they will be open Christmas Eve from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and then on Christmas Day from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The final days of Bentleyville each season can bring big crowds, especially on the weekend, so to avoid the long parking line you may want to consider taking a shuttle.

Shuttles are offered by Downtown Duluth to visitors who park in downtown Duluth and in Canal Park on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 5:00 p.m. The Canal Park pick up location is on Buchanan Street, near Little Angie’s. The pick locations downtown include: The Radisson Hotel, The Holiday Center, and Greysolon Ballroom.
