We can all agree that, so far, 2020 has turned out differently than what we might have expected. And now, the holiday season at Best Buy, including Thanksgiving Day, is going to look different, too.

According to a release from the company, Best Buy will changing how the operate on the years biggest shopping day! The company joins the likes of Target and Walmart who will also be closed on Thanksgiving day. Even though Best Buy will be closed to in person shopping on Thanksgiving, you will still be able to shop online or through their mobile app to get "some of the hottest deals of the season" as they will be extending their Black Fridays sales period this season.

To meet our customers’ changing lives this holiday, we’re enhancing the way we fulfill orders, from offering more convenient pickup options at our stores to making sure BestBuy.com orders arrive at the right time. We’re also going to start offering some of the hottest deals of the season earlier than ever, to make it even easier for our customers to check off their gift lists

As a former Best Buy employee, I understand how hectic it was to work on Black Friday and attempt to meet the needs of thousands of customers trying to get the best deals. Making this change will give retail workers a well deserved break from the hectic holiday rush!
