The rankings come from Niche and are based on data from US Census, FBI, BLS, and other sources. The towns/neighborhoods were sorted "based on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities."

10. Como

The Como neighborhood in St. Paul is the 10th best place to live in Minnesota according to Niche. For every town/neighborhood Niche has a report card that gives a grade for things like if the town is good for families, safety, housing, the public school system, etc. The places where Como got an A+ are in 'Good for Families' and 'Crime and Safety'.

9. Edina

The first town on our list, Edina, comes in at number 9. They get an A+ for 'Public Schools', 'Good for Families', and 'Health and Fitness'.

8. Highland

Another neighborhood in St. Paul, Highland, ranks number 8. They got an A+ in 'Good for Families', 'Crime and Safety', 'Nightlife', and 'Health and Fitness'.

7. Union Park
