Cement to Fill Downtown Owatonna Streets Before Snow Flies
The race to wrap up road construction in downtown Owatonna before winter buries us is coming down to the wire. The latest edition of the Tuesday Talk e-newsletter from the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (OACCT) offers optimism to reach a good completion point. However, work will carryover into 2022.
For the 300 block of North Cedar, the newsletter states, "Final base prep and concrete pavement is to occur within the alley. Limestone blocks will be placed around the planting beds. Pavers will be set within the boulevard."
For the 200 block, the update includes, "Temporary bituminous pavement is planned to be placed within the Vine Street intersection due to additional utility work to occur in the spring. Contractor is expecting to pave the remaining concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, and parking lanes, then work toward the mainline pavement."

BUSY HOLIDAY TIME
The chamber invites you to keep up with "the busy Holiday season of special events, fundraisers, and craft shows. The chamber has a community calendar on its website." To add an event, email oacct@owatonna.org.
SHOP SMALL SATURDAY CAMPAIGN
The OACCT is combing with the Owatonna Business Partnership to promote Shop Small Saturday, November 27. Businesses can go HERE to enter specials that they will be offering during that time.
