The Smokin' in Steele BBQ and Blues Festival is set for Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at the Steele County Fairgrounds. Food vendors will be open for lunch starting at 11am on Friday and Saturday.

Along with the great food comes some mighty fine music. A $10 wristband gets you into the Beer Garden both nights. Music starts at 5:30pm Friday night. The final act on Friday night is Tallan Nobel Latz with his Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute show. Here's a youtube clip of Tallan.

Registration for the 5K Walk/Run begins at 7am on Saturday.

Free music in the Park Square will start at 11:30am on Saturday and continue into the afternoon. Saturday's lineup also includes a hot rod, antique car/tractor show starting at noon. Entertainment in the Beer Garden begins at 1:30pm with the Mark Arneson Band. Here's a youtube clip of them.

Check out the Smokin' in Steele web site for more details. Funds raised go to local non-profits including the Special Olympics.
