It's my request for my birthday every year. Cracker Barrel for lunch or dinner. I can't get enough of their food or meandering through the country store looking at all the offerings. All of that was about to change with the thought of washing down a pork chop dinner with an ice-cold adult beverage when the news of beer and wine sales popped up in the news. Sadly it's only being tested at 20 locations out of more than 664 and none are here in Minnesota. In fact, Minnesota only has one location, in Lakeville and its dining room is still closed due to COVID-19.

I called the Lakeville location this morning and asked about the wine and beer offerings to which the Cracker Barrel employee told me they would not be offering any beer or wine.

The offering of beer, wine, and mimosas was made before COVID-19 in some locations according to Delish.com. I did look for locations offering beer and wine and was unable to locate any information.

According to the Nation's Restaurant News "Reopened restaurants are also “migrating” to a new menu that includes new offerings such as chicken pot pie and Saturday fried pork chops. The company also plans to step up its digital business, including continuing the option of delivery and/or curbside pickup even as dining rooms reopen."

Locally, as I drove around the last few nights running some errands I've seen plenty of area restaurants have "full" patios with people dining. I'm not sure how much that is helping given the limitations to how many tables and guests you can have at those tables, but the public sure seems to enjoy getting out to eat.
