District One Hospital President To Retire In 2018

He told the staff Tuesday but announced to the public on Wednesday that he is going to retire. That man is Stephen Pribyl, president of District One Hospital in Faribault. He was a key player when the hospital integrated with Allina Health.

He started at the hospital in 2010, and besides the integration with Allina he is proud of the new emergency department set to open in August.

His employees have respect and admiration for him and his leadership abilities and thank him.

According to the Faribault Daily News, Pribyl served in the Air Force for 23 years in medical leadership positions and then went on to be administrator for Mayo Health in Minnesota and Wisconsin. A succession plan is being developed for a smooth transition.

Pribyl also gives his time to the Chamber of Commerce and the Faribault Rotary, Health Collabritive board.

He said he remains committed to District One through the time he walks out the door on February 2.
