October is Bullying Prevention Month. Lori Running and Sandy Olson of the Advocates for Developmental Disabilities of Steele County were guests on AM 1390's Talk of the Town. Preventing Bullying is part of the curriculum offered through their Cool Kids on the Block presentation.

Research shows 1 in 5 students have been bullied. The types of bullying include physical, verbal, social and cyber-bullying. These are probably self explanatory. The social bullying involves excluding one for an event, party or excavating.

The Advocates go to schools with their Cool Kid puppets and make their presentation which also includes a story. Advocates for Developmental Disabilities will also do presentation for groups other than schools as well. Their number is 507-451-9769.

I have a couple of long time friends that have had eerie experiences. Read more here
