Flood Watch Issued for Parts of Southern Minnesota

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for portions of southern Minnesota in effect from 1:00 am Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms should occur from early Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening. This activity will have a very good chance at producing heavy rainfall rates.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.\

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
