Anoka, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former Anoka School District has been sentenced to 30-years in prison for sexually abusing multiple students.

The sentence imposed on 48-year-old Jefferson Fietek is the maximum statutory sentence for the crimes. He pleaded guilty in August to three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving three different victims, although his plea deal also included admissions to sexual abuse involving two additional victims.

The charges brought against Fietek stemmed from an investigation that was launched in February of last year when one of his former students at the Anoka Middle School for the Arts came forward with allegations of sexual abuse. The victim indicated he was 14-years old when the abuse began in 2009. The criminal complaint eventually detailed sexual abuse allegations involving four additional students for incidents that occurred between 2009 and 2019 when Fietek moved to Massachusetts.
