Free Event For Your Kids

I think every parent would like to have the assurance that their child can read and likes to read. Saturday, February 2 the Kiwanis Club of Owatonna presents their annual Read Around the World at the Owatonna Public Library.Kids from pre-school to third grade are invited to stop by the library between 10-11:30am and listen to six celebrity readers read their favorite children's book. The readers will also explain how reading relates to their career.

Among the guest readers this year will be Tessa Schirmer the OHS Key Club president and Darla Lager the Owatonna Public Library Children's Librarian. Each child will get a free book to take home too.

If you plan on visiting someone at the District One Hospital in Faribault or the Owatonna Hospital, there are now visiting restrictions in place. Read more here.
