There were a number of empty seats at Van Orsow Auditorium at Bethlehem Academy on Thursday night, but the ones that were filled saw a typical Wildcat vs. Cardinals boys basketball game.

The lead changed a few times in the first few minutes but the Wildcats led 25-16 at the half and went on to win 54-42. The Cardinals had a tough time shooting in the first half and Goodhue was fairly hot. The Cardinals did get it to 29-26 once in the second half. Goodhue had some of their usual long possessions of two to three minutes.

Ben Opsahl had 17 to lead the Wildcats and Taylor Buck had 15. Damon Trump had 4 threes for 12 points and Avery Hunt had 11. They were the State Farm Insurance agents of Faribault Players of the game.

Goodhue (20-2) travels to Randolph on Friday and the Cardinals host Medford. Power 96 will have coverage of the BA girls at Medford starting about 7PM.
