Todd Hale has announced his retirement from the Steele County Free Fair. Hale is currently in charge of booking entertainment for the stages at the fair along with writing press releases and writing and recording commercials for the fair as publicity head.

He began his fair career in 1990 working as an assistant to the late Dr. Louie Allgeyer who was Secretary of the fair.

Hale also hosted a weekly Fair Talk program on AM 1390 each week starting in June leading up to the fair promoting the fair.

Hale's retirement is effective September 30.

Wayne Steele who has been the coordinator of the Fair Square Stage the last 5 years will assume Hale's duties. Steele is a member of the Steele County Free Fair Board of Directors.
