The Hayfield Vikings girls basketball team is ranked #6 in the Minnesota Basketball News Top 20 in Class 1A.  The defending State Champion Vikings boys are #6 in that poll.

Hayfield is the only Gopher Conference girls team among the state's elite according to MBBN.

Four Hiawatha Valley League teams are rated (Goodhue, Lake City, Rochester Lourdes & Stewartville).  Three Big Nine teams (Austin, Mankato East, Mankato West).

Four teams out of the South Suburban Conference are in the Top 19 in the biggest schools (Shakopee, Rosemount, Prior Lake, Lakeville North).

Your #1 ranked teams in each class according to MBBN are Mountain Iron-Buhl in Class 1A with 11 undefeated teams. Moutain Iron-Buhl is not one of them. In Class 2A Minnehaha Academy has one loss with 2 unbeatens in top 15.  Class 3A Becker with two losses is on top with 3 undefeated teams among the top 13.  Class 4A is topped by Hopkins with 5 undefeated teams among the top 8.
