Despite several events like soccer and rugby having already been going on for a couple of days; the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics officially get underway tonight with the opening ceremonies on the River Senne.

Instead of the traditional opening ceremonies that we've become used to with international athletes marching around a track in a stadium; this opening ceremonies will feature the athletes on over 100 boats moving through Paris on the Senne.

The flag bearers for Team USA will be men's basketball player Lebron James and women's tennis player Coco Goff. I'm not sure what that means since they're not walking a track. Maybe they'll have a 'Titanic' moment at the front of the boat.
