With the mild temperatures on Monday come some high winds and some heavy, possibly severe, thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.

A cold front will push through this evening, with winds becoming southwest and increasing for a time with gusts of 55 mph possible. After a relative lull in intensity overnight, west winds will increase again Tuesday morning, with gusts of 60 mph possible through early evening. Tree damage and power outages are possible. Unsecured, lighter objects will be blown around. Driving may be difficult, particularly on north-south roads.

Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind and possibly some brief tornadoes are possible later this afternoon and evening.

Wasn't it just a little over a week ago that we had more than a foot of snow in a good portion of the area? It's our Minnesota weather, wonderful.
