It appears the Zumbro River has crested at Pine Island and the peak was the 2nd highest on record. The latest information from the National Weather Service indicated the river crested at about 21.6 feet. That is about 4 1/2 feet over flood stage and about 2 feet below the record crest set in September 2010. Earlier today, the Pine Island Fire Department issued an advisory the residents living in the Lilly Lane neighborhood next to the Branch of the Zumbro River that encourage them to evacuate because of high water levels.
