Hy-Vee has announced a voluntary recall of its Hy-Vee Spring Pasta Salad. They are doing this due to the potential that it may be contaminated with Salmonella. This came to Hy-Vee's attention Monday night.

The salad was distributed to all of Hy-Vee's grocer stores across their eight-station region including Minnesota.The product has been removed from floor shelves at all locations. Approximately 20 illnesses have been reported by salad consumers in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa.Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people. Symptoms may include fever, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.

The Hy-Vee pasta salad is the 1 pound and the 3 pound containers. The plastic container with plastic lid has an expiration date between June 22, 2018 and August 3, 2018.

If you have purchased this product you're advised to throw it out or take it to a Hy-Vee for a refund.
