Time for our weekly look at adoptable animals from around the area. This week we are sharing with you not one but TWO cats that have some special needs. The first cat we will feature is named India, and the folks at Helping Paws of Southern Minnesota feel that she is hard of hearing or deaf, plus India also doesn't have a tail! With more details about India, we will turn to Michaela Tews, a board member at Helping Paws.

India may have lost her hearing but she hasn’t lost hope in a home for the holidays! We believe India is hard of hearing or deaf and is around 2 years old. She sits next to the shop vac while her foster Mom is using it and it doesn't phase her! She actually jumps if she touches her without India seeing her first so she should be in a home without little children. She is cute as a button with an unusual feature: India has no tail. We don't know if she was born that way or if she lost her tail but it does not affect her daily living. She is affectionate and playful, gets along fine with other cats, and doesn't mind the canines in her foster home.

All pets adopted from Helping Paws of Southern Minnesota will have age-appropriate vaccinations, testing (Feleuk-FIV), and alterations included in their adoption fee! Fill out an application to adopt on our website here

The next featured animal this week, is one that we've featured before, actually just a few weeks ago. Once again meet Reggie!

Reggie is such a sweet boy. On November 9th he had his neuter surgery and one of his eyes removed due to damage/injury unknown prior to his arrival with us.. His other eye is cloudy.
He has found innovative ways to deal with his disability and he is a courageous little guy. He has absolutely wonderful soft hair and is easy to care for Kitty who just wants to please. Reggie would like to have a home that is very predictable since he will need to know where everything is to make his life easier since his vision isn't the best. Stairs we think would be just fine for him to manage as long as they have railings to prevent him from falling off the sides. If you want just a sweet lovable guy as a companion Reggie is it!
You can get more details about Reggie, or start the paperwork to get his adoption rolling by heading here.
