Storden, MN (MinnesotaNow) - Authorities in southwestern Minnesota have identified the victim of a deadly incident at a farm last week.

Fatal Farming Incident

The Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office says deputies and other emergency personnel received a report around 7:45 Thursday evening that a person was trapped inside a grain bin. The caller indicated they were unable to see the victim inside the bin.

Victim Found Submerged in Corn

A news release states that first responders arrived at the farm near the town of Storden and eventually located the victim submerged under about 3 feet of corn. The man was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Victim ID'd

The Sheriff's office identified the victim as 72-year-old William Quade of rural Storden.

Storden is a tiny town with approximately 225 residence that is located 35 miles southeast of Marshall.
