Our region has so many options for trails and activities like skiing, snowshoeing, and even riding fat tire bikes.

Finding places to go on your own isn't that hard to do, but actual scheduled events make it even easier and sometimes more fun participating with others in the community.

On Saturday, January 27th from 4:00PM-8:00PM the Hartley Nature Center in Duluth will be hosting a Candlelight Ski, Snowshoe, and Bike event with minimal cost to attend.  For Hartley Nature Center Members it will only cost $5 per person, Non-members are $15, and kids 5 and under are free. But what do you get for your five or fifteen bucks?

For the cost, you can ski or snowshoe a luminary lit trail, demo a fat tire time and join in on a group ride, take a moonlit trail run, and of course enjoy the warmth of hot cocoa and cookies.

Gear for the event is on a first come, first serve basis and you need to pre-register on the Hartley Nature Center Website.

Remember too that there is very limited amount of gear available for kids, and kids do need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend the event.

It's a great opportunity to get outdoors with the whole family and community and enjoy our area for a low cost.
