The Keith Urban Verse That Took Over Six Hours to Complete [Exclusive]
Fans are counting down the hours until Keith Urban drops what's arguably the most unique record of his career, Flow State, on Friday (June 12.)
I spoke to Urban ahead of the release on Taste of Country Nights and asked him which song on the new album, which is a compilation of yacht rock cover songs, took the longest to get exactly right and to his liking.

The "Kiss A Girl" singer chuckled and then thought out loud. "Some of them took way longer than I thought."

"There's an Ambrosia song called "How Much I Feel" that has so many intricate backing vocals, stacked parts weaving in and out of verses," he continues. "We were trying to replicate all those backing vocal parts, honoring the original, and they're very complex, they're really, really complex."
Urban admitted that "Doing one verse took like maybe six hours to do the backing vocals oohs and ahhs."
Songs on Keith Urban's Flow State That Took a While to Get Right
Urban says "There's also a song called "Help Is On It's Way," which is a Little River Band song, that's got a stack of harmony guitar parts, which took a while to figure out."
Urban, arguably one of the best guitar players ever, admitting that a guitar part of a song was hard must mean that it would be near impossible for most to get right.
