4 Times Tony Cu Ate & Reviewed Central Minnesota Restaurants

Are you familiar with Minnesota influencer Tony Cu? Tony has been sampling food from across Minnesota for years now, and as he samples different restaurants, bars, and grills, he reviews them in videos on social media. Tony has been to Central Minnesota a few times since he began. Here are 4 past reviews of different Central Minnesota eateries.

Who Is Tony Cu?

Tony Cu is a Minnesota travel and food influencer who blew up in 2023 thanks to TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Tony is known for a simple formula: buy food from restaurants around Minnesota, eat it in his car, and then give a straightforward review and rating.

A favorable Tony Cu review can translate into increased traffic.

Tony, in the past, has visited some St. Cloud institutions like Bravo Burritos, Val's Rapid Service, Bo Diddley's, House of Pizza, Arroy, and Up in Smoke BBQ. You can see those reviews here.

Nelson Brothers' Clearwater Travel Plaza

Tony got an apple fritter, a big cookie, and a cinnamon roll. Tony had 'no complaints' about the apple fritter or the cookie he saw, and he admitted he is a sucker for 'big' things like cookies, so he had to get it. As to what he thought about it, Tony thought the cookie was 'fine', but it was SOO big that he shared with his audience they might want just to get the 'regular' sized cookie if they stop. Finally, it was time for the cinnamon roll...oh boy! He liked it overall, but he really wanted the caramel roll. Tony, come on back and try it!

Flour & Flower - St. Joseph

We will keep the bakery theme going, as Tony stopped in St. Joseph at Flour & Flower, and he sampled the chocolate croissant, blueberry basil pie, and a latte. Tony enjoyed the croissant, but he didn't spend too much time on it. Up next was the blueberry basil pie, where Tony got a taste of the basil right away, and that surprised him in a good way. The latte was a little too hot for Tony, as the face he made was hilarious!

Krewe - St. Joseph

Tony stuck around in St. Joseph to review none other than Krewe, which is right next door to Flour & Flower. According to Tony, Krewe had been on his list forever, so he was finally able to cross it off with this visit. Tony got Grandpa's Gumbo, and he made a great comment about gumbo in general. Everyone wants it done differently, but being a big fan of Cajun food, Tony dug in. Tony liked all the ingredients that were in the gumbo, but he seemed disappointed that he couldn't find okra in his bowl.

White Horse - St. Cloud

Our final video was Tony's visit to the White Horse in downtown St. Cloud. Tony ended up getting the PBJ burger. The burger had bacon, habanero jam, as well as peanut butter and cream cheese on it. Tony called the combination 'interesting' before taking a bite. Tony loved how the burger was cooked, and loved the fact that the peanut butter and cream cheese killed any heat you might get from the jam.

Tony went on to mention that West St. Germain street had a lot of options and then name-dropped Dolsie's, Arroy, and Jules' Bistro. Does that mean we are going to get some new videos from Tony at Dolsie's and Jules'?
