When it comes to snacks on planes, I could take it or leave it.  Do you really need the little packs of Sun Chips, Biscoff Cookies, or some other deal that not that great for you? I miss the times of peanuts.  But we can't do that anymore - when did everyone get so allergic to peanuts?  Or just nuts in general?

WITH RISING FUEL COSTS, THERE HAVE TO BE SOME CHANGES

Thank you to the rising fuel costs, Delta, along with some other arirlines, have increased not only their cost of a flight, but also the baggage fees.  They have gotten way out of line.  But then, so has the fuel costs.  And, if you booked your flight before the fuel cost jumped so high, the airline is probably losing money on your airfare.  So there's that.

SNACKS AND BEVERAGES ARE ELIMINATED ON CERTAIN FLIGHTS

The elimination of the snack and beverage service only pertains to short flights.  Like something about 350 miles or less.  So it would be a flight from something like Minneapolis to Chicago.  A flight that is generally less than two hours.

FROM CNN:

Delta Air Lines plans to stop offering food and drinks on hundreds of flights in part due to rising fuel prices. The change, which starts May 19, applies to about 450 daily flights that are less than 350 miles, like Los Angeles to San Francisco. It affects all passengers except for those traveling in Delta One, the airline’s highest level of service.

BUT - YOU CAN STILL GET SOME BEVERAGES AND SNACKS IF YOU'D LIKE

If you are really bugged by this change, you are always welcome to bring your own beverage and snacks if you would like.  It's great to bring along an empty reusable water bottle and just fill it after you run through the TSA security check. There are plenty of fill stations just for that reason.  So, no issues.  I actually kind of like the change on a short flight.  I'm someone who doesn't want to be bugged and asked if I want something or not.  But that's me.  I know, odd.

If you do like those services, hopefully they can be reinstated when the fuel prices subside.  And let's all hope that happens soon - for all of our sakes.  Have you seen the way gas prices have been rising?  Yikes!
