It's never easy seeing a business close.  And a couple of years ago, we ALL went through a dark time where some businesses and restaurants couldn't recover.  Shut downs, limited access, reduced capacities, etc.  It wasn't easy.

RESTAURANTS THAT ARE MISSED

Now, asking the question what restaurants do you miss that have closed in the St. Cloud area.  The response was huge!  Not all of the restaurants that closed were closed because of COVID, but some were.  Not great.

RESULTS

Here are the results from the question asked earlier this week.

There were some definite stand-outs on this list. Some of the more popular restaurants that have closed were Timberlodge Steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse and Ciatti's.  Two of those are chain restaurants, and Ciatti's was more of a local favorite.

FAVORITES

There were a lot of comments about some of the Asian restaurants that have closed over the years.  They are missed, along with the Ground Round, some comments with people missing Godfather's Pizza.

You can get Godfather's Pizza at the Holiday station store out on 75 near McStop.  But some people stating that it isn't the same as it used to be.  Others saying it's exactly like they remember.

McMillians and Bonanza were also mentioned by a few people.  Along with Sammy's Pizza and Old Chicago.  Someone also mentioned Denny's.  I didn't think we ever had a Denny's in St. Cloud, but a lot of people wish we did!

Some people mentioned DB Searle's too.  Like the original one.  That place has gone through a couple of changes over the years.  Right now, it's Tequila Town.

DO YOU REMEMBER THESE

There were also a few mentions for restaurants that I had completely forgotten about.  Like Meeting Grounds, Rax and Alvies.  Someone also mentioned the Persian Supper Club.  That restaurant was very popular with my parents and their friends back in the late 70s and 80s.  That location has gone through a few changes as well.  Right now, that space is for lease.  Any takers??
