Grand Meadow, MN (KROC-AM News)- Three people were hospitalized after the van they were riding in slid out of control on a southern Minnesota freeway.

Ice and snow was detected on the roadway. The State Patrol responded to the single vehicle-crash shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday. 

The state crash report indicates the express van was traveling east on I-90 when it lost control on ice then rolled about seven miles west of the High Forest exit in eastern Mower County

Three passengers in the van, identified as 45-year-old Aaron Gomez, 35-year-old Floribarto Lopez and 32-year-old Jose Manuel Lopez, were taken from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester

The Sibley, IA residents all suffered what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries. 43-year-old Esteban Gonzalez Gomez also of Sibley, IA was identified as the driver.

He was buckled up and escaped the rollover crash without injuries. It’s unknown if the passengers were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol was not involved in the crash, the report says. 

The Grand Meadow Fire Department, Grand Meadow Ambulance, Dexter Fire Department and Mower County County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the single-vehicle rollover.
