Chatfield, MN (KROC-AM News)- At least one person lost their life in a crash on Hwy. 52 in southeast Minnesota.

The State Patrol and other emergency responders were called to the crash scene around 11:45 Wednesday night.
Two vehicles were involved in the fatal collision. The drivers were the only occupants, according to the State Patrol.

A northbound SUV and a southbound Jeep collided at the highway’s intersection with Olmsted County Rd. 7, according to the state crash report.
A 40-year-old man from Preston was driving the SUV and the Jeep was driven by a 62-year-old Chicago man. Their names have not been released.
More Information Expected by Friday
The State Patrol has not said if one of both of the drivers died in the crash. Authorities plan to release more information about the deadly collision by early Friday morning.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance, Chatfield Ambulance, the Chatfield Fire Department, the Rochester Fire Department, the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and Rochester towing also responded to the fatality.
