The complaint says detectives, who were also granted a warrant to search Williams’s person, were surveilling Williams’s apartment in the 3800 block of Hwy. 14 east when they saw him leave prior to the warrant execution.

The charges also say investigators conducting surveillance saw Williams engaging in suspected drug deals prior to the execution of the warrants.

Officers stopped Williams for a driving after revocation violation and began executing the warrant. A search of William’s person led to the discovery of 4.4 grams of fentanyl and $1,000 in cash, the court document says.

Police also searched his vehicle and found 3.9 grams of fentanyl, the complaint says.

Detectives then executed the warrant for Williams’s home and found 57.3 grams of fentanyl, a digital scale with a white residue on it and multiple plastic baggies. In all Rochester police seized 65.6 grams of fentanyl, the complaint indicates.

Court records indicate last week’s raid occurred while Williams was on probation for a second-degree drug conviction stemming from a more than 25 gram fentanyl bust in Goodhue County this past April.

Williams is due to make his first court appearance in the new drug case Monday morning.
