
Part of Hwy. 52 Closure Near Rochester Ends, Detour Remains Further South
The highway was closed Tuesday at I-90 to accommodate demolition of I-90 eastbound overpass, which is part of a massive project to transform the interchange.
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Part of a Hwy. 52 closure near Rochester has ended.

That’s according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), which announced the partial reopening on Saturday afternoon.
A significant portion of the highway between Rochester and Chatfield still remains closed and a detour is in place.

Hwy. 52 Reopens at I-90 Near Rochester, MN, Detour Remains in Place Further South
MnDOT says Hwy. 52 to the I-90 eastbound entrance ramp reopened as scheduled on Saturday.
The highway was closed Tuesday at I-90 to accommodate demolition of I-90 eastbound overpass, which is part of a massive project to transform the interchange.
Southbound Hwy. 52 motorists will now be able to access eastbound I-90. The I-90 westbound on-ramp from southbound Hwy. 52 has also reopened, according to MnDOT.

Motorists seeking to travel further south on Hwy. 52 will be detoured on eastbound I-90 then south onto Olmsted County Rd. 7 at the Eyota exit.
That detour will be in place until November, MnDOT says.
Both directions of I-90 traffic have been using the westbound I-90 overpass since earlier this month.
Eastbound I-90 traffic seeking southbound Hwy. 52 is also being routed further east to the Eyota exit.
