
27-Year-Old Winona Woman Killed in Crash That Shut Down I-90
Grand Meadow, MN (KROC-AM News)- A fatal crash closed a portion of westbound Interstate 90 in southeastern Minnesota Wednesday night.

The deadly collision occurred shortly before 8 p.m. One vehicle was involved in the deadly crash, according to the State Patrol.
Westbound I-90 traffic is being diverted off the interstate via Hwy. 63 in Stewartville then routed south to westbound Hwy. 16. The 12-mile stretch of the interstate closed following the crash reopened late Wednesday night.

I-90 Crash in Mower County Claims Life of 27-Year-Old Southeast Minnesota Woman
An SUV was heading west when the driver veered off the interstate, entered the median then collided head-on with the bridge pillar of the Mower County Rd. 1 overpass, which is about six miles northeast of the Dexter exit, the state crash report says.
The vehicle then rolled and came to rest in the westbound lanes. Emergency radio transmissions indicated the vehicle had caught on fire.
The State Patrol identified the driver as 27-year-old Jasmine Katherine Brown of Winona. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to the state crash report.
Alcohol was not involved in the deadly crash and it's not known if Brown was wearing a seatbelt, the State Patrol says.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Meadow Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the deadly crash.
