
Rollover Crash on I-90 Injures Rochester Man Friday Evening
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man was injured in a rollover crash Friday evening on I-90 in Winona County.
The State Patrol says the crash was reported just before 6:15 p.m. approximately six miles west of the Highway 43 exit to Winona. It involved an SUV that was headed east when it veered to the left and then rolled into the median before coming to rest in the westbound left lane of the freeway.
The State Patrol reported that snow and ice were on the roadway at the time of the crash.
The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle. He was identified as 34-year-old Benjamin Ziomek of Rochester. The State Patrol says he was transported by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash report indicates the driver was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not involved in the incident.
