Opening day was originally scheduled for June 8 but was pushed back an extra day.

Opening Day for New Silver Lake Pool Pushed Back Due to Inspection and Weather
A news release issued on Monday by the City of Rochester says forecasted inclement weather and a final inspection, scheduled for Monday, will delay the pool’s opening until Tuesday.
City officials say the opening day delay “will allow any remaining items resulting from the inspection to be completed.” The pool is anticipated to pass its final inspection, city officials say.
Crews began the project to transform the pool with demolition in December of 2024. Construction of the new pool and surrounding amenities took place last year.
The new Silver Lake Pool features a 25-yard activity and lap pool with a zero-entry ramp, a climbing wall, aqua zip and basketball hoop.
Crews also constructed a new pool house and built a new splash pad at the property along 7th St. NE.
Operating hours for open swim are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday noon - 8 PM and Tuesday and Thursday noon - 5 PM.
Silver Lake Park Improvement Plan
The Silver Lake Pool renovation was part of a $10.5 million effort to improve Silver Lake Park.
Other improvements made in the past year include a new playground and an indigenous gathering area. Crews also renovated the basketball court located on the east side of the pool and improved shelters in the park.
This Fall, a renovation to the skate park on the west side of the pool is scheduled to begin.
