Woman Fatally Injured in Brainerd-Lakes Area Crash
Brainerd, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Friday morning in the Brainerd area.
The preliminary report on the incident says that it occurred along Highway 210 in Cass County about 5 miles west of Brainerd near the town of Pillager. According to the State Patrol, the victim of the crash was driving a car that pulled out onto the highway and into the path of another car.
Both vehicles ended up in the south ditch along the highway following the collision, which was reported just before 11 AM.
The name of the person killed in the crash has not been released, but the State Patrol says it was a 31-year-old woman from Wadena.
The State Patrol says the other driver, 56-year-old Leesa Peacock of Motley, was transported to a hospital in Brainerd with non-life-threatening injuries.
